last night my mom decided that since i was in such a bad mood and bored out of my mind, she'd call Katey and tell her to do something about it. so a little after 6 i decided to go to bed since i was tired anyway and figured there was nothing else to do, then Katey and Ben show up. Katey brought me a St. Patrick's Day card and a funky green stuffed bunny. (i named him Psych....he's all psychedelicky) then we went out to eat at Applebee's and after that we went to Bart & Greg's to get a movie, they were showing the Rutles so we watched what was left of it, it was really funny. then we rented Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, that was great too. tho i liked Snatch better....but according to Ben, everyone who's seen both likes the first one they see better. i guess that could make sense....they were pretty similar (buncha shady British guys that tangle with the wrong people, have a certain amount of time to get themselves out of trouble or bad shit happens, lots of sets of characters with storylines that eventually meet) only there was no Brad Pitt in this....haha, oh well, it was still cool.
i don't really have anything else to say, i'm just waiting for my dad to get out of the bathroom so i can take a shower and then go to Zack's (YAY!!) so i guess i'll end this here.

i watched a pretty trippy movie with Emily and Jenny earlier, it was Memento....hard to figure out, but luckily i have the good old internet to assist me. the website for the movie (www.otnemem.com) was very helpful. if you haven't seen it, its worth watching. we also started watching an older movie, like from the 70's, called Altered States, about dreams or something, i only saw like the first five minutes but it looked intriguing.
i just heard a poster fall, it had better not be one of mine. my wall hates posters. it'll hang onto dopey little cutouts for ages, but if i try to put up a real poster, it usually won't stay up 2 weeks. as a result, my Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas and Gashlycrumb Tinies posters (my only 3 posters i ever put up) are all horribly mangled, and i'm not very happy about it.
the Lewis Black show was decent, not overly hilarious or anything, but amusing and definitely worth the money. me and Zack managed to find really great seats too. ALSO, on May 2nd DAVE CHAPPELLE is performing at the State!!!!!! if i get a job in the next couple weeks, i'm so gettin me a ticket. i'm looking forward to the Henry Rollins show on the 20th too.
Denny's pancakes aren't very good (yet still more edible than a lot of their "food"). i wish we had an IHOP. i remember going there when i was little and getting a pancake with a whipped cream smiley face. hehe....i made a smiley face out of leftover dough when i made my mom's birthday cherry pie. it was cute. its hard to believe my mom will be turning 50 next year. that makes ME feel old. but oh well. by the time she turns 50, i will be 18 muthafuckas!!!!! (those of you who are 18 might be thinking, "so what?" but remember when you were 17 and, damn, didn't 18 look good? plus, my parents have a no non-ear piercing rule and its retarded. plus, graduating and moving out come around the same time as my 18th birthday, so i'm basically just looking forward to June & summer.)
Jackie was telling an amusing story at Denny's, about Billy's Valentine's date. so he was supposed to go out with this girl, and he had a nice romantic night planned for them, but she thought he was a heroin addict because i guess Scotty left some needles (from his insulin injections) in Billy's car or something, plus he's playing some addict gangster or something in West Side Story. so she ends up bringing a bunch of her friends on the date and he took them all out and i guess they had an ok time but i think the girl still thinks he's a heroin addict and it obviously didn't go anywhere. so....amusing, eh?

ok, heres an interesting thought, has anyone noticed how people under the age of, say, 25 tend to be more aware about the state of the world than people older than them? i just mean theres like a bigger ratio of awareness in the younger generations, as far as the environment and the general wrongness and fucked-upness of the world goes. and that elementary-aged kids are being labeled something like the caring generation because of their interest in feeding the hungry and taking care of animals and people less fortunate and raising money for good causes. if you believe in or even acknowledge the possibility of the next ten years bringing lots of change in the world, you can see how this awareness and willing to care and heal comes into play. if the US government goes through with the war on Iraq (and its definitely not gonna stay isolated in Iraq, with all the global controversy, and the Koreas fucking around to boot) the world will very likely go through some big kablooie changes and will require the help of the younger generations to heal people's beliefs and to heal the planet. could we be mentally evolving in order to be better prepared to face what the future holds? seriously, its something to think about. personally i'm still hoping for a revolution, but it'll be messy....maybe thoughts of a possible good old-fashioned revolution is whats driving me to want to suddenly learn to fight and have muscles and shit.

you can totally dismiss all of that if you like....i'm a little tired and i was talking to Emily earlier so of course i'm gonna be more likely to wax prophetic (can you wax prophetic? i've heard the saying "wax poetic" and i'm only guessing that you can also wax prophetic). but humor me first and consider it. i'm not saying i'm right, but keep in mind that just about anything is possible and we haven't even begun to unravel the deepest mysteries of the universe. jesus fucking christ is reality complicated....

another thought: if all of reality really is math, do people who see things more clearly and objectively than others tend to be better at understanding math??? i never liked math, but i was always very good at it, it always came quite easily to me. i also seem to have a decently firm grip on objective reality and problem solving in people's lives....could there possibly be a correlation???
