OMFG I HAVE NEW JOB!!!!

Goodwill needed a second non-personal reference and so i gave them the old night cook's number but i didn't hear from them after that so i called today and they said they couldn't reach her but were very interested in hiring me. so i gave them the number of the counseling office at the high school so they could call Mr Counselor and less than an hour later i got a call back saying they'd gotten a good reference (of course....thanks again for getting me hired, Mr Counselor!!) and offering me the job. its 20 hours a week and i start on or around the 15th cuz i have to give 2 weeks notice to my boss. tomorrow around 3 i'm going over there to fill out an application (cuz i only gave them a resume, i <3 resumes!!) and do whatever other paperwork they need.

AND......since the position at Goodwill is only 20 hours a week currently, and i got a call from Spencer's the other day, i called them and i have an interview at 2 tomorrow. they know i'm getting hired by Goodwill but since its 20 hours a week i could work probly the same amount of time, if not more, at Spencer's. i told the manager i could probly work out something where i work every other day or something, which i really don't know if i could, but i'm sure i could set some kind of regular schedule up between the two. so HOORJ for me!!

if i don't get the job at Spencer's i think i'm going to look into bartending school. i don't know why, it just seems like it would be a fun and interesting job. maybe cuz i look down on beer and those who drink cheap alcoholic crap just to get drunk, but mixing drinks to make tasty concoctions is way cool. the only stupid part is that while you can bartend at 18 in Maine, you can't buy liquor till age 21, thusly i could not do any practice mixing. tho i'm sure i could find parties that would be willing to let me practice....heck i could rent myself out. so we'll see....that would be a fun thing to get into if i move to Canada, i believe the drinking age is 19 there (i know it is in Montreal, thats why everyone goes up there for the weekend to party) so i wouldn't have to wait to take full advantage of the whole bartending mixing drinks thing.

its obvious i have no idea what i want to do with my life....so many things sound like fun....and you can plainly see why i'm not among the hordes migrating to college this month. i don't want to learn about getting out in the world and trying new things, i want to actually get out there and try them.
