oh what the fuck....i was looking up movies i was thinking about seeing to see if i should waste my time and i found out that Van Helsing is NOT the story of how the good doctor's family is brutally sucked dry by Dracula, thus driving Van Helsing to become the expert on all things vampirey in order to avenge his loved ones. instead, its a total gay-up directed by the moron who made The Mummy. apparently its stuffed full of expensive special effects (much like Underworld....) and the plot involves the doctor and some hot chick in velvet traipsing around Europe killing mummies, vampires and wolfmen. i'm guessing that no one involved ever even READ Dracula. sure, the movie may be based on an anime, but what the hell is the point of that....if its an anime, KEEP it as an anime....just think of what an unforgivable fuckup it would be if someone tried to make a live-action Akira or something....

i hope Bram Stoker rises from the dead and feeds upon the cast and crew on opening night. >:
