my opinion on ADD and other such "disorders" in young children:

kids are, by nature, hyperactive. people are so disillusioned in this society that they think having children is going to be a Kodak moment 24/7, and that their child will be the most perfect, precious little angel ever to scream angelically for no reason in a large, crowded public area. so when their wonderful little bundle of snot-nosed joy acts like a normal child, with an active imagination, little interest in sitting quietly in a classroom full of other kiddies and bursts of obnoxiousness (or just plain reacts in a normal hyper manner to all the sugar in the typical American brat's diet) they rush their baby off to the doctor for a quick fix. and the pediatricians, being irresponsible morons themselves, happily dispense the larva tranquilizers to the sugar-filled wigglers. because of their parents refusal to accept the reality of the downside to having children and to let go of their dream of a picture-perfect family, the kids pay. and this is really WHY i never ever want to have kids (other than ruining my vagina); i understand that having kids is mostly just a big messy mess, and rarely ever idyllic in any way.

also, people who use artificial insemination and/or fertility drugs still just PISS ME OFF. greedy self centered fuckers....you have enough money to pay for the procedure and to raise the multiple hatchlings it produces, yet you dont care enough to adopt one of the millions of homeless children that already exist (an option that would probly be about equal in money and time invested).
